- Craig Stephens 03/09/2024First 2cave was great 2nd cave better 3rd cave felt a bit let down, nit mych to see a difficult to get to if u are tall or may have a bad back, lots of walking uphill so if you struggle to walk this is not a good idea for you. But all in all a great day out. Dinosaurs🦕 for little ones an farm yard, crazy golf ⛳️. Camping area at top of car park. A fun day out to be had, there is a train which takes you from the car park to the entrance. But only 4 stars due to the overall cost an 3rd cave. Otherwise it be a 5star review.read moreread lessAnna Reeves 02/09/2024We only visited the main caves which were fascinating. The oral information and videos were interesting but loud and a bit invasive at times. Lots of dinosaur models outside which were all a bit naff and I'd have like better written information and learning about the formation etc. The cafe only served chip.meal or suds and was very dark and gloomy. Well worth a visit but could do with an update.read moreread less
- Nicolai Negru 01/09/2024We planned a visit to Showcaves on our way back from Wales to London. First impression was positive and the first two caves were very large and impressive 👍🏼 Paths between the caves are decorated with models of (sometimes moving) dinosaurs, which can be good fun to watch for youngsters 👍🏼 Be aware that connections between the caves are fairly steep ⚠️ The 'Bone cave' was tiny, very uncomfortable (for no reason other than poor pathway design) to get to and very small. If you are visiting the site - I would recommend giving 'Bone cave' a miss altogether. The cafeteria is not very good and seriously overpriced 👎🏼 I would recommend bringing your own food - ours was soooo much better than what was available on site.read moreread less
- matthew clifford 30/08/2024A very nice simple place which is perfect for kids 12 years or younger. Some animatronic dinosaurs among the fixed plastic ones, small farm and farming exhibit. Indoor play areas. Caves are not really friendly for those with limited movement or wheelchair . Three caves of which the cathedral is the most impressive . Food and toilets only at the top near the caves. Free road train to take you from car park and farm to the caves up the hill.read moreread less
