Sgwd Einion Gam at 26m high is the second tallest waterfall located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, Henrhyd Falls being slightly taller at 27 meters. Sgwd Einion Gam is a stunning waterfall that is located upstream from Sgwd Gwladys
The trail starts from the village of Pontneddfechan and follows a steep and rocky path through forests, along the way walkers will encounter a variety of wildlife and stunning natural scenery, including deep gorges and rocky outcrops.
When you reach Sgwd Einion Gam, you will be rewarded with stunning views of the waterfall cascading down into a deep pool. There is also a rock formation behind the waterfall that allows for a unique perspective of the surrounding landscape.
The route to Sgwd Einion Gam is considered to be challenging, with no identifiable path, steep and uneven terrain past Sgwd Gwladys. There may be the need to make several river crossing. This route can be dangerous other than when the river level is very low. It is important to note that the area can be slippery and extreme care should be taken.
