Amazing place to stay if you love nature and long walks the hot tube was a good addition to the end of a long hiking day. Will defo be returning back without a doubt. Thank you so much for this amazing experience!!

My wife and I stayed here for four nights with our dog and absolutely loved it. The location was perfect, surrounded by lots of good trails and nice local pubs a 10 minute walk away. The place felt really private making it easy to relax. The hot tub was an added benefit.The place was really clean when we arrived and pretty much had everything we need. The only thing we'd say is that if you're planning to cook anything more than basic food, you may want to bring your own pans/utensils. What is currently in the kitchen seems quite old and probably needs refreshing.In terms of comfort, both the sofa and bed were very comfy - perfect for evenings in by the fire.

Peter’s place was just as described, peaceful and perfect! My dog and I had the best stay. The holiday bungalow had everything we needed, plus the addition of a hot tub which was ideal for after long walks. The pubs in the vicinity were lovely and welcoming too. I’d definitely recommend Peter’s place for anyone looking for a relaxing stay. The garden was also very well kept and loved the beautiful sound of nature whilst being sat out there. Would love to visit again!

Absolutely brilliant stay. Brilliant location, nice and quiet surroundings. Instructions were clear and the communication was lerfct. Place was easy to find and self check in was seamless. Parking was easy to find a spot in the residents bays. Hot tub was really nice in a very private garden. Beds were extremely comfortable as were the sofas. Quick WiFi and all amenities listed were on hand. Honestly wouldn't change a thing and will definitely rebook if ever in the area again.

We had an amazing time at this place. The views and walks were ideal with our dog. There are 3 pubs within a 10 minute walk down paved walkways. The start of the waterfall walk is in the same location as the angel pub. Dinas rock is a 1 minute walk from the property. There is a village hall that does hot and cold food and drinks which is next to the property. We went to Port Talbot beach as it was only a 30 minute drive, it was perfect for us as the beach is lovely and has a dog friendly zones at the end of each side of the beach. The hot tub was the icing on the cake to come back to after long walks. On the road to the pubs there is a house selling jams and another house selling cakes which were all delicious. We spoke to the neighbours of the property who were so friendly and welcoming. Amazing place and even better locals. We had a fantastic time

Just got back from an amazing little break at this beautiful home in the most incredible location. Lots to do right from the door step, waterfalls, wild swimming, pubs, and zip world just a short drive away. The property was easy to find, loads of parking and absolutely spotless. To top it off you get to come home to a large hot tub, just what your need after a long hike! Would 100% recommend checking this property out to explore the beautiful south wales.

A wonderful peaceful little cottage, the rear garden space with hot tub was a perfect place to rest after long walks. And always a little Robin to keep me company ! We had older children with us and the space was just right for us to be together to eat and play games, but their room was also nice a spacious for them to escape to. We visited some popular waterfall trails and Pen y fan mountain, all were fairly strenuous compared to walks we are used to ( coast/ forest) , but well worth the effort. We only discovered the trail behind the Angel pub on the last evening, it was flat and better if you have small/ older dogs. We went in the water there it was lovely, I’d like to visit again to explore this trail more. Thanks Peter for a wonderful break.

Ideal location for exploring the beautiful Waterfall Country. Host made check in and out straightforward. Property inside was clean and tidy.Back garden was peacful and the hot tub was well needed after a hard days walking.Great info supplied about local walks. Very dog friendly, back garden secure, water bowl provided and lovely touch with the dog treats. Would stay again.

Great place and amazing location, for an affordable price

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful, modern bungalow. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.The location is simply incredible, with some of the most breathtaking waterfall walks in the Neath Valley right on the doorstep. We brought our two dogs, and they absolutely loved the stunning walks as much as we did. The scenery was unforgettable and made for a truly special trip.We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in an amazing location. We will definitely be back to enjoy it all again!

This place is in a perfect location and is beautiful and has an amazing garden with hot tub. Garden is secluded and really lovely. Beds were so comfortable and linen and bedding lovely. Everything you need. The local pubs selling really great food and the location is perfect for waterfalls and walks.

The accommodation was ideal for our needs, with plenty of space for both us and our dog. The location was absolutely perfect for our small family, plus dog, the information provided on walks and pubs were perfect, we managed to visit many walks and 3 different pubs thanks to the host’s recommendations. Log burner was perfect for the evening and my daughter loved the hot tub after exploring the local area. The neighbours were super smiley and friendly whenever we passed them and the cottage had everything we needed for the week. The little dog treats were a huge bonus for our dog too. This was a much needed and wonderful trip away in the perfect spot. Tucked in a corner, we enjoyed the private space for use of the hot tub and loved watching the birds in the garden too. Everything we needed was there and was perfect, Lydia and Peter responded quickly to messages and we really appreciated the extra information about the place and area that was sent in a welcome message. Fab stay at Canyon Cottage. Good communication and easy check in. Property was nice and clean throughout and an amazing location for walks to waterfalls and caves and only a 20 min drive to Bike Park Wales, Zip World and other places to keep the kids entertained. Local pubs also excellent! Would happily stay again.

It’s a different property because it’s within a residential estate, but the front garden has beautiful hedging and flowers, and the back garden is private and really green. It’s a lovely place, we had plenty of space for 2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. The location of the property is perfect for dog walks and getting outdoors and only 15-20 mins to Zip World which was great fun. All in all a really great stay, and we’d certainly book here again. We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage! The property was spotlessly clean, and the modern kitchen and bathroom were a delight to use. The cottage had plenty of space for the two of us, and we appreciated the comfortable living area.The location was perfect - convenient for exploring the local area, and just a short drive from the stunning waterfalls. We also appreciated the proximity to the Brecon Beacons, which was only a 25-minute drive away.Our host was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque getaway. Can't wait to come back!

We had a great stay at Pontneddfachen,The area was great. We loved walking down to the Old White Horse and the Angel as food was stunning in both.We also found a McDonald’s down the road for quick coffees before we set off.Easy access to Rhossili bay. About an hour drive. Very easy. The cottage was lovely. Bed was comfy. It was very tidy. And dog friendly! The local residents are so friendlt. We spoke to a lady next door and she was asking if we needed help with bags. She was so kind. The Town hall was so busy which was nice to see. Thanks guys.

Convenient location for doing the four waterfalls. Everything was clean and accessible. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to do this specific hike.

This is on the edge of the village, 1km walk to pubs/cafe and trail, but is less than 1 minute from Dinas Rock and a fabulous walk to yr eira waterfall. Near perfect location for ability to just walk out and walk for a couple of days, for longer stays other trails are only short distance by car. Private garden with a dog poo bin outside the back gate, additional cafe in village hall round the corner but only open on Fridays and Saturdays.
Tried both pubs and cafe and went to each more than once as all lovely and varied. Would definitely recommend property and location.
Also really helpful maps in the property to assist with planning the day.
Would highly recommend accommodation and location and will hopefully return soon.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this spotlessly clean house, perfectly located right on the doorstep of Dinas Rocks. Peter and Lydia were exceptional hosts, providing clear rules and prompt responses that made our experience seamless.

The house is thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need—board games, a TV, and even a cozy log wood burner that made our evenings extra special. Restaurants within walking distance were a bonus, offering plenty of dining options.

As we stayed over Christmas Day, Peter and Lydia went above and beyond by adding special touches like a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and festive decorations in the living room. It made our holiday stay feel truly magical.

We can’t recommend this place enough and will certainly be visiting again. Thank you, Peter and Lydia, for a memorable stay!

Fantastic location right outside Dina’s Rock, walk straight into National Park, perfect for walkers. Delicious food in local pubs, bistro, can’t fault it. Property clean, comfortable and warm. My only criticism is I’d asked if garden was secure, but sadly it wasn’t, it was 3’ high and quite flimsy with gaps. We didn’t have faith in our recent rescue dog to stay put in the garden, so we had to go out for toilet breaks which is tedious. But, other than that we’d definitely return with a better trained dog hopefully! 😀

Great spot for exploring Brecon Beacons - highly recommend!

The cottage was very clean, garden perfect (and contained) for dogs. Waterfall walks on your doorstep and peaceful location. Nice selection of homely products provided (cleaning, soaps, towels, teas/coffees etc.). Loved the log burner. Very much enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was spotless and the décor was good. Loved that the heating was on upon our arrival on a very wet miserable day! The cottage is set in a very quiet area, literally just around the corner from Dina’s Rock and just minutes away from various tourist attractions and landmarks. We felt safe and secure throughout our stay.

Communication was seamless, the host was responsive and considerate, even assisting with a slightly earlier check in which was much appreciated.

We visited the local eateries/pubs and they were all lovely. We had breakfast in Sgwd Gwladys which was fantastic, lunch in the Angel and drinks in the Old White Horse, everyone is super friendly in the White Horse!

Planning to explore more of Wales in the near future and would definitely return. Thank you!

Our stay at Canyon Cottage exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly clean, not a single spider in sight, despite it being their mating season when they tend to make an appearance in homes. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept really well. The bungalow was warm and cosy with an excellent wet room. We felt very relaxed and didn’t want to leave after our 3 night stay.

The location for exploring the Brecon Beacons was spot on. Neither of us had visited this area of Wales before, and we will definitely be back. We loved the four waterfall walk, it was such an amazing experience to be able to walk behind one of the falls - I’d recommend getting there early to avoid the crowds. There are so many other waterfalls to see in the area too. Another first for us, was having a tour of a whiskey distillery, very interesting, and, of course, we came away with a tasty bottle of Penderyn which we are looking forward to opening.

Canyon Cottage was beautiful and in a great location. I’d definitely stay there again.

It was disappointing for our two children that the WiFi wasn’t working and phone signal isn’t great there. If we’d known before we arrived we could have brought our own portable router. Something to consider letting others know before they arrive.

A small point regarding the enclosed garden.. smaller dogs can get under the gate so might be worth attaching some mesh to the bottom.

Overall a great stay for our first trip to Wales. We will definitely be visiting wales again.

Great place, spacious, comfy beds, nice kitchen, 2 TVs with large sofas, fireplace, lovely garden. Very very nice!
Only drawback is phone signal is extremely weak there, and if TalkTalk (the local internet provider) is having a bad day, you will have no way to go online/contact anyone! Not ideal for bored teenagers!

wonderful place to stay. lovely little village. lots of restaurants/pubs within walking distance, lovely walking trails nearby. the Airbnb was clean and tidy, however. there we so many spiders! a daddy long legs in every corner of every room. I think I counted 6 in my bedroom, they were literally everywhere! this put us off quite a bit. they were even in the cupboards. most of then were massive, so it's not as if they were out of sight.
another thing that annoyed us was the cleaning fee. £50! we thought that was very pricey. considering the checking out rules were "strip the beds, put the linen and towels in bags, take out and replace the bin bags, sanitise all of the surfaces, clean the dishes and put them away". now I would have done this anyway regardless of the rules. however a £50 cleaning fee is way too much. all they would have had to do for the next guests is put clean sheets on the beds, and hoover (which we did anyway). we're undecided if we'd return. thank you for reading 🙂

lovely stay at Peter's. The bungalow was very comfortable and we loved the layout with the open plan kitchen and living room. it is in a quiet dead end road with only a few other houses. It is an easy drive to the Brecons or you can walk straight from the house for river and waterfalls.

Superb 😀 - The location was wonderful for me, so close to nature. The house was peaceful, spacious, beds very comfortable, nice outside area, high standard of accomadation, very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Canyon Cottage 😃 😞 - I am not a fan of wet rooms myself. It would have been helpful to have a mop not a brush to clear the water afterwards. The knives were quite blunt. There is no dishwasher or washing machine. This was fine for me as I like washing up. It just seemed strange considering the high standard/cost of the accommodation.

Wonderful location and lovely accommodation. The only negative was the lack of quality kitchen utensils etc. Also the wifi connection is rather poor due to the location. Otherwise great and Peter was extremely helpful when we had a problem with streaming on the tv.

Excellent accommodation right in the heart of where we wanted to be. 😀 - Excellent location, excellent amenities and the communication was excellent with the hosts 😞 - Had all the facilities needed to make the stay really comfortable.

The bungalow is in a great spot for accessing the surrounding area and the lovely walks. There are a couple of pubs within a 10 min walk and the local town centre is about a 20-25 min walk.
Highly recommend the place and I’m sure we’ll book it again.

What a little gem Canyon Cottage turned out to be. Tucked away in a very peaceful cul-de-sac, this accommodation met with all our needs. The location is superb; we began our stay on Day 1 with a dog-walk along footpaths that led us along a beautiful river and to some stunning waterfalls. More walking was completed for the rest of our stay; the location put us in a great position to reach some magnificent walks. Within walking distance, we found three fabulous eateries - breakfast at Gwladys and evening meals at The Angel and The White Horse - fantastic! We found the accommodation to be very comfortable, very clean and very relaxing. The log fire was a real bonus, the wi-fi terrific and the enclosed garden meant our dog was entirely safe. We'd be happy to recommend this as a great place to stay.

My son, dog and I have had the most wonderful stay at Peter's cottage, which was super clean, spacious and had everything we needed to feel right at home. Peter’s place was so ideal for our family break. It’s literally seconds away from scenic waterfall trails and easily accessible if you want to venture further into the Brecon Beacons. The local area is friendly and had some great pubs who also cater for little ones.
The space itself was clean, spacious and relaxing. We didn’t want to leave!

Lovely cottage in a quiet area. It was nice to hear the river flowing. Spotlessly clean and fresh. One of the best places I have stayed for cleanliness. All modern furnishings and everything you need for your holiday. The white horse pub was great. Lovely and cosy. Staff were really friendly. Catered well for dogs. Food was absolutely lovely. Would definitely stay at one of their accomodations again if in the area. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved our break. The house was lovely and cosy, bigger than pictured too, we felt right at home.
We walked both the waterfall routes and the routes for Dinas ro k, both were amazing and I would highly recommend.
Pen y Fan is within 30 minutes drive.
There is a lovely pub for food and drinks in walking distance, The Angle Inn that I would recommend. We also popped across the road for a coffee, also very nice and they also offer food.
We will be back in the summer 🙂

Great location , nice place, great host

Nice and quiet with great walks literally around the corner. Enjoyed our stay a lot.

Initially our hearts sank when we drove up to the property as it is in little close with other houses all decorated for Halloween and has no outlook at all.

However that aside, we had the most wonderful time. It was an ideal position to be able to explore and walk our dog by the river with no one around. You can walk the Four Waterfalls walk without having to drive anywhere. They were magnificent.

We had some great meals at local pubs. Pen Y Cae Inn and The old white horse stood out. The cottage is immaculately clean and well equipped. You can’t hear any neighbours or traffic. So peaceful and comfortable. Communication was excellent with Peter and we were very impressed by his organisation. Thank you. We would certainly love to come again and will be recommending to others.

Took us a minute or two to find the correct house number but fairly easy to find.

If you are going over a weekend then check the time resteraunts close Sunday afternoon as some have shorter hours.

An ideal location to explore Waterfall Country and the Beacons. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with high-spec decor. Would highly recommend.

Canyon cottage was very comfortable, uncluttered and clean. It was ideal for two of us, but could easily accommodate four adults.
There was generous parking which helps to make any stay less stressful.
All in all, it was a very restful and peaceful break.
The waterfall walk was a delight.
Both Peter and Lydia were very quick to respond to a couple of enquiries.

We have had a lovely stay for the week in Canyon Cottage. There was plenty of space for our family of four and a dog. The Cottage was very clean, comfortable beds and the perfect space to come back to after our adventurous days out exploring.

Peter was very responsive and provided us with a wealth of information about the local area. We underestimated just how close we were to the waterfalls!

The waterfall trails are just beautiful and there was so many places to explore that we could have done with staying for another week.

Fabulous location to explore the many waterfalls in the area, which are spectacular. There are three pubs all within walking distance (15 mins) which all serve food. We ate in the Angel and the food was lovely. The accommodation was clean and modern and had all the amenities you could need whilst away. Lovely garden to sit in on a sunny day. We stayed for a few nights. Great location, you can walk to the falls and we drove to Swansea for the day and Wales Bike park about 20 minutes drive. The Angel pub about 10 minute walk was great allowed dogs with good pub food and the nearby town with coop and amazing donuts highly recommend ‘The Donut Place’ The accommodation was suitable for the 3 of us with secure garden for the dog. Would be fine for 4 - twin room big size. The village hall just a 100 yards away did great breakfast baps.

We loved exploring the waterfalls and enjoyed our time in the cottage. It’s a great location and the cottage was very clean and comfortable.

My friend and I stayed at Canyon Cottage for a long weekend of hiking and couldn’t have been happier with it. Fantastic location to see the surrounding waterfalls and within walking distance of some great pubs. Only a short drive from the Brecon Beacons mountain range! Peter sent through clear check in and check out instructions and Lydia messaged to say that we could check in early. The place was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a great stay. Would highly recommend, and we won’t hesitate to stay again in the future!

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. We stayed there for a week and we could have stayed easily for a little longer. Well equipped kitchen, clean house, beautiful surroundings.

The bungalow was exactly as described with plenty of leaflets & maps giving more information on things to do. Parking is right by the property too. Peter & Lydia were really helpful & quick to respond to any messages. Their 'explore south wales' website came in very handy looking at other things to do in the surrounding areas. I will definitely be booking this & other properties that they own, again.

Lovely place, has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Our little family really enjoyed our trip and the location was just beautiful and so peaceful.

Lovely place to stay, river and rock climbing on your doorstep, some beautiful walks too.
Bungalow was clean and tidy.
Unfortunately there wasn’t a car parking space ever available so needed to park in the village hall car park.
Local pub (the angel) was very friendly and welcoming and dog friendly.
Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Perfect location and perfect stay. The cottage was just what we needed - excellent location for our walking holiday. Village was lovely with great food locally. The cottage was tidy, clean and had everything we needed. Comfy bed too!

Spoke with Peter as I stupidly couldn’t get the hobs working, couldn’t be more helpful. Great place in a great location for exploring wales and the waterfalls. Miles of walks which I had the pleasure of doing.

Great place, located within the waterfalls which are all nearby. House was as described, good base. Local cafe Swgd was great.

Pleasant stay at Canyon 'Cottage' 😀 - Clean, and warm and comfortable and very well laid out and furnished. Close to start of waterfall walk. Near to some pleasant pubs. Welcome pack a nice touch. 😞 - I wouldn't describe it as a 'cottage' Very close to residents Tap in bathroom sink too slow running. WIFI slow

We are new to renting cottages and we're most impressed by the facilities at Canyon Cottage. All equipment and appliances worked efficiently and there was a file with instructions if needed
