Pont Melin-fach is a small car park and picnic area in a picturesque location next to an old stone bridge.
It is a bit off the beaten track but makes a great starting point for exploring the woodlands and waterfalls of the Cwm Nedd Fechan valley.
NOTE: Access to the carpark is via a very narrow single track lane and to prevent serious issues this carpark closes during peak season. During this time their are several overflow carparks in batter locations.
The Elidir Trail heads downstream from here and goes past four waterfalls.
The entrance to a fairy kingdom is reputed to be somewhere along the Elidir Trail but you are more likely to spot wildlife on your visit – keep a look out for the dipper bird (a small dark bird with a white breast that walks underwater).
